The Church is full of eye candy and looks very appealing. But the message is soft. We are not saved by saying a prayer as that would be works based salvation and our works are nothing but filthy rags. Jesus Christ is the one who saves. Romans 3:11-18 “None is righteous, no, not one; 11no one understands; no one seeks for God.12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good,
not even one.”13“Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.”14“Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” 15“Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16in their paths are ruin and misery, 17and the way of peace they have not known.”
18“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

No one seeks God....rather it is God who calls us, he who chooses "See the Doctrines of Election" How many in the Bible are saved by Prayer?
The sentiments of this prayer are found nowhere in the literature of the New Testament that pertains to the sinner’s responsibility under the law of Christ. A careful study of the cases of conversion in the book of Acts will reveal that in not a single instance is the sinner instructed or encouraged to “pray” for his or her salvation.

Rather, those honest souls who longed for redemption were admonished to “believe” on the Lord (Acts 16:31), “repent and be immersed ... for the forgiveness of [their] sins” (Acts 2:38; cf. 22:16), in order to enjoy a relationship with Christ (Gal. 3:27), and enter his spiritual body (1 Cor. 12:13).

Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven....

We cannot put faith in ourselves or in our efforts.... It's not about us and what we can do...It's God and his saving Grace, his call on who he has chosen as his elect before the foundation of the world.

Christ the Rock misses this.... but also disagrees with Paul
As Pastor AJ stated in an email when questioned about having a Woman Pastor. The Church is the Bride of Christ. Christ has a particular order to which even if we don't think it should be... is his way. He doesn't need us to agree to be glorified. 1 Tim 2:12 Well it may not be the popular view by way of the wicked world we live in.. This is Gods Church and his rules. To state that Paul says and Jesus didn't? Is foolish... Paul was chosen by who to lead the Church? And all scripture is God breathed or does Christ the Rock also go against sola scriptura?

We would have no choice but to gather our family and walk out of this Church... When the message is twisted to please men instead of God....This is not a church we can ever recommend. Search Scriptures and seek a true church built on solid doctrines and Pastoring in the Truth. Not for the worldly gain....

  • The amount of pride I have for this church is just immense. Christ the Rock Community Church is doing so well in its mission to serve others, not only in its community but in the world around us. They are a shining example of what it truly means to follow Christ. They do well to serve and to develop the relationships lasting members have had with Christ and they do an excellent job of welcoming those who don't know Him at all. Anybody I know who is afraid to go to church for fear of being rejected for their sins, being embarrassed, or simply not belonging, I direct them towards this church because I have yet to see a better example of a church that knows how to accept new members and treat them well.

  • Christ the Rock is a very nice church. Worship is good and the messages have been very good. My wife and I had a hard time finding a church we liked. We are really liking Christ the Rock.
